Cheryl Brandon is the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of KinterraCapital. Ms. Brandon helps to oversee all aspects of investment origination, capital deployment, risk management, portfolio construction, value creation and investment monetization. Ms. Brandon serves on the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee of the Investment Adviser.

Prior to Kinterra Capital, Ms. Brandon was a founding partner of Waterton Global, a resources-focused private equity fund with ~$2B in AUM.

Ms. Brandon has over 18 years of experience managing capital on behalf of Tier-1 global institutions in the resource sector. Prior to founding Waterton in 2009, Ms. Brandon co-managed mining investment strategies at multiple alternative asset management firms in Toronto and New York.

Ms. Brandon was recognized as Top 40 Under 40 in Canada in 2021 and received the Distinguished Graduate Award from the Goodman School of Business. She recently completed the Rotman Institute of Corporate Directors designation and completed an M.Sc. at Columbia University in New York. Ms. Brandon is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charter Holder and member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts and serves on the Canadian Women in Private Equity Association board.

Kamal Toor is the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of KinterraCapital. Mr. Toor helps to oversee all aspects of Kinterra’sinvestment business, including strategic ideation, transaction structuring and execution, value creation and investment monetization. Mr. Toor also helps to shape the strategic direction of the firm and is responsible for general management oversight. Mr. Toor serves on Kinterra’sInvestment Committee and Valuation Committee.

Prior to Kinterra Capital, Mr. Toor was one of the founding partners of Waterton Global, a resources-focused private equity fund with ~US$2B in AUM.

Mr. Toor has significant transactional experience across a variety of complex transaction structures, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, structured financings and bankruptcies. In addition to his transactional work, Mr. Toor also has a keen interest in Kinterra’spermitting, stakeholder and ESG initiatives.

Prior to his career in private equity, Mr. Toor was on the International Capital Markets Team at Allen & OveryLLP, a global “magic circle” firm. In addition to an undergraduate business degree and multiple law degrees, Mr. Toor holds an MBA from Cornell University.
