Meet The Team Behind Kinterra
Kinterra’s senior leadership brings a long-standing history of collaboration, with many team members having worked together for over 15 years. This continuity has cultivated a highly effective, cross-functional culture that is deeply aligned around the Firm’s strategic objectives and key performance indicators.
Senior Leadership team


Kamal Toor is the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Kinterra Capital and has led private equity funds in raising over $3.5B in capital. Prior to Kinterra Capital, Mr. Toor was a founding partner of a mining-focused private equity fund where he was a key person and served on the firm’s Investment Committee and Valuation Committee.
Mr. Toor has over 20 years of experience in institutional asset management, transaction structuring, and capital deployment, and has led numerous complex transactions across both emerging and stable jurisdictions. Mr. Toor has led transactions involving public and private M&A, bankruptcies, joint ventures, hostile bids, offtake and downstream integration arrangements and proxy battles, amongst other matters.
Prior to his career in private equity, Mr. Toor practiced corporate law at Allen & Overy LLP, a global Magic Circle firm in Europe and across Asia. In addition to holding an undergraduate business degree and multiple law degrees, Mr. Toor has completed an MBA at Cornell University.


Cheryl Brandon is the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Kinterra and has led private equity funds in raising over $3.5B in capital. Prior to Kinterra, Ms. Brandon was a founding partner of a mining-focused private equity fund where she was a key person and served on the firm’s Investment Committee and Valuation Committee.
Ms. Brandon has over 20 years of experience managing capital on behalf of tier-1 global institutions. Prior to her career in private equity, Ms. Brandon co-managed resource investment strategies at alternative asset management firms in Toronto and New York.
Ms. Brandon was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 in Canada in 2021 and received the Distinguished Graduate Award. She completed the Rotman Institute of Corporate Directors Designation and completed an MSc at Columbia University. Ms. Brandon is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charter Holder and a member of the Toronto Society of Financial Analysts.


Laura Fernandez is a Partner at Kinterra and is responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability, and serves on the Sustainability Committee.
Ms. Fernandez previously served as Principal, Associate General Counsel, and Corporate Liaison for Environmental and Permitting at a large mining focused private equity fund, where she played a pivotal role in managing the execution of the firm’s transactions and overseeing key due diligence and value creation matters. Ms. Fernandez also led a group of environmental and permitting professionals with over 70 years of collective experience in the field. She oversaw the progression of the Value Creation Initiatives at the portfolio companies, helping to ensure their successful completion. Ms. Fernandez has led the permitting of several mines and large infrastructure projects and has also participated in pivotal regulatory and policy reform efforts across the industry.
Ms. Fernandez holds a J.D. from the University of Ottawa and a Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.


Aggrey Ruganzu has been part of the Kinterra team since its inception. Aggrey leads legal due diligence during potential acquisitions, advises on contracts, commercial arrangements and governance matters, as well as manages the Fund and investor-related legal matters.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Aggrey was an associate with Stikeman Elliott LLP, a leading Canadian law firm, for six years, where he practiced corporate law with a focus on securities and mergers and acquisitions.
Aggrey holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science from the University of Ottawa. Aggrey was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017 and is a member of the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers and Law Society of Ontario.


Henry Lole has been part of the Kinterra team since its inception. Henry leads the geology evaluation as well as value creation planning and execution for Kinterra's diverse real asset portfolio, helping to ensure technical excellence within his discipline. Henry has experience in both exploration and resource geology.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Henry served as a Senior Resource Geologist at a leading ~$2B private equity fund and worked as a Geological Consultant on a variety of commodities across North America, Africa, and Europe.
Henry has a Citation in Applied Geostatistics from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Exploration and Resource Geology from Cardiff University.


Edward Vesel is Kinterra's Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the Firm's Finance, Information Technology, People & Culture, Investor Relations and Compliance mandates. Edward brings a distinctive combination of mining-sector, private-equity, large dual-listed public companies, and Big Four public accounting expertise that is particularly valuable to Kinterra.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Edward held Finance leadership roles at private equity firms including Starlight Investments with $30 billion in AUM across more than 50 individual Funds, at senior gold miners including Agnico Eagle Mines and Kinross Gold, and in public accounting with KPMG LLP. Edward has led large teams through transformational strategic change, achieving best practices in financial controls and reporting, technological innovation, talent development and operating performance through a center of excellence shared services model.
Edward is a Canadian CPA, CA, and holds MBA and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Windsor. He serves as Kinterra’s Chief Compliance Officer and chairs its Valuation Committee and Compliance Committee.
evaluations and technical team


Matthew Lengerich brings over 20 years of experience to Kinterra Capital. Previously he was a senior executive for Jervois USA where he was responsible for the company’s global mining operations and leading the transition of key assets into production. Matthew has international experience in large-scale hard rock, copper, iron ore and bauxite operations, as well as digital transformation in mining through his time at Rio Tinto in progressively senior roles. Mr. Lengerich holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
Investment, Transaction Execution & Evaluations Team


Graeme Weeks is the Global Head of Projects for Kinterra, with over 30 years experience in the mining and metals industry.
Prior to Kinterra, Graeme was the Chief Operating officer of ArcelorMittal Mines and Infrastrucrture, overseeing operational excellence, strategic growth initiatives and the execution of mining and infrastructure projects at scale.
Graeme has extensive experience as a mining and mineral engineering executive with considerable international experience in operations, investment and innovation. He has held progressively senior roles as Chief Advisor - Rio Tinto Energy Developments, Investment Professional - Greenstone Capital and Group Manager - Operations for Xstrata.
Graeme holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Wollongong.


Simon Jacques joined Kinterra in 2023, where he leads the metallurgical evaluation for potential acquisitions, identifies and implements strategies to optimize metallurgical processes and provides technical support to Kinterra's portfolio companies. Simon is a Mineral Processing Engineer with international experience in metallurgical evaluation and process optimization across a wide range of commodities.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Simon was a specialist at McKinsey & Co., focusing on operational excellence and large-scale transformation projects to help mining companies create value and capture impact.
Simon holds a Master of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering and a Ph.D. in Metallurgy from the University of Liege.


Andrew Bodden leads the mining evaluation and value creation process, which includes due diligence on potential acquisitions, mitigation of risks for new and existing assets, incorporation of mining considerations into financial modeling, and technical assistance for Kinterra’s portfolio companies.
Andrew brings 20 years of experience in mining operations within Canada and internationally. Prior to joining Kinterra, he held the role of Principal Engineer, MRMR, for Vale Base Metals providing technical assurance for their operations. Andrew has also worked for Torex Gold, De Beers, and Barrick Gold in various technical services positions, largely focused on long-range and strategic planning.
Andrew is a practicing member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University.


Calvin Lui is responsible for Kinterra's investment origination, transaction structuring, and execution, and investment management. Prior to joining Kinterra, Calvin led a team of analysts as an Investment Banking Vice President at Citigroup in London, UK, covering the Metals and Mining sector.
Calvin brings 10 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and metals streaming transactions, while also having worked at leading banks like Citigroup, BMO Capital Markets, and Société Générale.
Calvin holds a Master of Finance degree from Imperial Business School, and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.

Max Rabinovitch supports the Investment team at Kinterra through the entire lifecycle of an asset, from origination through monetization, including due diligence and portfolio management.
Max has over 7 years of experience in the investment banking and mining sectors. Prior to joining Kinterra, he led a group of analysts at Moelis & Company in New York as an Investment Banking Vice President in the Industrials group, with a focus on Metals & Mining, as well as on the investment banking team at Cantor Fitzgerald.
Max holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University.


Jessica Simmons is responsible for leading and scaling a value-driven finance function, including financial reporting, planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting operations, treasury, and compliance.
Jessica brings more than 15 years of experience in progressively senior finance roles across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, retail, and technology sectors. Prior to Kinterra, she led and optimized the finance function at Enwave Energy Corporation (portfolio company of OTPP and IFM Investors; formerly Brookfield) through a period of high organic and M&A-led growth. Before that, Jessica held FP&A, strategy and audit roles at Weston Foods and Loblaw Companies Limited (George Weston Limited) and corporate accounting and audit roles at BlackBerry.
She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), and holds a Master of Accounting along with a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo.


Kunal Kokal leads the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. He supports Kinterra by helping to build and implement leading FP&A practices to support performance management, asset integration, and spearhead the selection, implementation and maintenance of key financial systems, processes and controls across the firm and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Kinterra, he led a team as the Senior Manager of FP&A at Enwave Energy Corporation. Kunal has 15+ years of progressive experience in audit, corporate reporting, and FP&A and has successfully managed multibillion dollar capital plans and the implementation of various cross-functional process improvements, including system implementations and cost transformation initiatives.
Kunal is a CPA, CFA, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wollongong.


Nazish Mirza supports Kinterra’s Dubai office in providing legal advice on deal structuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. She also supports internal legal matters and oversees portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Nazish was an associate at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, where she practiced corporate law with a focus on domestic and global mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions.
Nazish holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from McGill University. Nazish was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.


Richard Appiah-Kubi leads the Project Delivery team in executing Value Creation Initiatives for Kinterra's portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Richard was Senior Project Delivery Consultant for Agnico Eagle Mines (Detour Lake Mine), leading several infrastructure projects and development of the Project Delivery Framework and governance for the Capital Projects Department. Richard has over 5 years of experience from Newmont Mining Corporation as a senior Project Controls Engineer and Cameco Corporation, as well as over 6 years of experience in the Nuclear Power Generation industry with Bruce Power Ontario Power Generation.
Richard has a Master of Science in Engineering Project Management, Master of Engineering in Engineering Management, and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).


Mihnea Lupu has been part of the Kinterra team since its inception. As a member of the core Investments team at Kinterra, he actively contributes to the investment origination, management, and monetization efforts as well as provides support for investor relations.
Mihnea joined Kinterra after completing his Honours Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, where he also gained experience working in various financial analysis roles across a variety of industries.


Anju Xing provides strategic legal guidance on deal structuring, due diligence, and portfolio company governance. Anju also advises on the full lifecycle of investments, from formation to ongoing fund operations.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Anju practiced corporate law at McMillan LLP and Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, where she focused on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.
Anju holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. She was called to the bar in 2022 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.


Christian is a member of Kinterra's technical team, contributing to both technical due diligence for new investments and the ongoing operational oversight of existing portfolio assets. His primary focus is on geologic best practices and robust data capture and management to support high-quality resource estimation and informed investment decisions.
Christian’s experience spans exploration, underground and open-pit production, and the last four years have been spent in private equity. He has held senior geologist roles with Hecla Mining Company and Elko Mining Group and has served as database administrator for more than a dozen projects across North America and Australia.
Christian holds a Bachelor of Geology from Colgate University and a Master’s degree in Economic Geology from the University of Arizona.


Mahin Ali is part of the Evaluations & Financial Modeling function. He brings extensive experience in developing complex financial models and algorithms, conducting rigorous financial analysis across the mining sector, and designing risk modeling frameworks to assess investment risks and opportunities.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Mahin was a Mining Analyst at Glencore, where he built market intelligence models to support Glencore’s zinc strategy and developed financial models to inform business development initiatives. He has also engineered ESG-focused financial risk assessment models at 15 Rock and CIBC.
Mahin holds a Master of Financial Risk Management from the University of Toronto.


Dominic Caister supports the Kinterra team with financial modeling, valuation, and analytical oversight across the firm’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Kinterra, he held roles at Lionhead Capital and WaterBorne Capital in Cape Town, South Africa, contributing to investment and project finance initiatives across the natural resources, industrial, and renewable energy sectors.
Dominic is both a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In addition to his accredidations, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town.


Fairooz Humaira is the Project Controls Lead at Kinterra, where she plays a strategic role in supporting the Project Delivery team through the development and oversight of project controls governance, performance reporting, and project execution frameworks. Fairooz brings over 10 years of experience to Kinterra through her work across the power and energy sector.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Fairooz built and matured project controls functions within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. She also managed large-scale capital programs, overseeing cost, schedule, and performance reporting while leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams.
Fairooz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Toronto and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).


Mairi MacEachern joined Kinterra in early 2024 and supports the Kinterra Technical team in performing Environmental, Social and Governance-focused analysis, due diligence, strategy, and reporting.
Prior to joining Kinterra, she worked at ERM as a Senior Consultant in the Sustainable Operations team. Prior to ERM, Mairi spent 5 years in-house at a public mining company in increasingly senior roles within the Health, Safety and Sustainable Development and External Affairs teams.
Mairi holds a Master's degree in International Environmental Policy, focused on Sustainable Business from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.


James Chui supports Kinterra on investment origination, execution, market analysis, and monetization.
James joined Kinterra with 9 years of experience, working in corporate development at Glencore, a global commodity and mining business, where he developed a strong financial and technical understanding of the mining industry. During his time with Glencore, James played a key role in evaluating mineral projects and studies for potential investment opportunities.
James holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University.


Arjun Athalye supports Kinterra with investment origination, evaluation, and execution activities. In his role, Arjun also contributes to financial modeling, market research, and due diligence efforts across Kinterra’s portfolio of critical minerals and energy transition assets.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Arjun gained work experience at both EY and Ocean Leap Capital.
Arjun holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo.
Project Development & Mining Operations Portfolio Company Team


Johnna Muinonen brings over 25 years of experience in the mining sector in operational and corporate roles and contributes her technical experience and skillset as President of the Dumont Nickel Project and has led the company through the study and engineering phases.
Previously, Johnna was employed by Vale and Inco, two prominent leaders in the global mining industry. Known for their dominance in nickel production – collectively supplying a significant percentage of the world's demand – as well as their leadership in copper and other base metals, these companies operate in over 30 countries and manage some of the most extensive and technically advanced mining and processing operations worldwide.
During her tenure, Johnna held a variety of operational and corporate leadership roles, including Mill Manager at Vale's Thompson, Manitoba operations.
Johnna holds a Bachelors of Engineering from Queens Univerasity and is a Professional Engineer in Ontario. Ms. Muinonen is a director for both the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Canadian Mineral Processors and a CIM Fellow.


Ian McMullan is the Project Director of Pumpkin Hollow. He is a professional engineer and mining executive with over 28 years of operational, managerial, and corporate experience across North America. Ian has significant experience in both underground and open-pit mining operations as well as technical study development and mining optimization across copper, gold and silver projects.
Throughout his career, Ian has led large teams through complex development and operational challenges, specifically, he was the Chief Operating Officer for Arizona Sonoran, as well as the Vice President of Mining at Klondex.
Ian holds an MBA from Lansbridge University as well as a Bachelor degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Dalhousie University.

Chad Wolahan is a mining engineer with more than a 22-year track record in delivering technical studies from PEA through to Feasibility and is currently the Project Director at White Pine. Specifically, he has specialized experience in optimizing room and pillar mining projects, which will be integral to the economic development of White Pine.
Throughout his career, Chad has excelled in developing NI 43-101 technical studies (PEA, PFS, FS) and developed experience in optimizing mine plans and process improvements to increase project value. Prior to joining White Pine, Chad was the Vice President of Projects for Solaris Resources where he championed the development of the technical program and development of the Warintza Copper Project. Additionally, he was the Vice President of Mining for Ivanhoe Mines where he spearheaded the preparation of mine designs, schedules and costs to support PEA to FS for the full life of mine.
Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Montana Technological University.

Chris O’Brien is an experienced mining executive with over 30 years of global experience spanning operational management, project development, and strategic leadership across multiple commodities and jurisdictions.
Chris has held senior leadership roles with major mining companies such as Newmont, Genesis Minerals, and Spartan Resources.
Chris’ expertise encompasses the full mining lifecycle, from exploration and feasibility through to construction, commissioning, and operations. He has led large-scale projects in gold, copper, nickel, manganese, coal, chromite, and iron ore; managing complex capital and operating budgets and working across Australia, Africa, and the Americas.
Chris holds qualifications in Geology, Mining Engineering, and an MBA. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), a Member of the AusIMM, and holds a First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate (WA).

Chris Schauffele is the Project Director for Southwest Critical Minerals (SCM) Open Pit copper project, where he is responsible for the progression of the project through a series of advanced studies.
Chris’ experience at Candelaria is directly applicable to SCM’s open pit asset in terms of mine size and mineral processing method. With a foundation in mining engineering and hands-on experience at both open-pit and underground operations, Chris excels at creating strategic value and leading diverse teams to deliver results. Chris is a seasoned mining professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry.
He has a proven track record in operations, corporate strategy, and mine finance across base and precious metals, along with diamonds and industrial chemicals. His career spans leadership roles across multiple continents, including 5 years in Chile as Acting General Manager for Lundin Mining’s Candelaria copper assets and a subsequent assignment in Botswana overseeing Lucara Diamond’s $534M underground mine construction.
Chris has a Master's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University.

Francois Vézina has 25 years of experience in mine construction and operations and currently leads the technical development of the Dumont Nickel Project through to a successful Final Investment Decision and construction.
Francois has extensive experience in the Quebec mining sector. Notably, he played an integral part of the execution team at the Malartic Mine (a successful project in the same region of Quebec and of similar scale to Dumont). Additionally, Francois has successfully executed the engineering, construction, and development of five other mining projects with Osisko, Falco Resources and Barkerville Gold Mines.
Francois holds an MBA from the University of Quebec as well as a Bachelor of Mining Engineering from the University of Laval.

Marc Hénault is the Vice President of Engineering and Project at Dumont Nickel, where he leads multidisciplinary design, execution, and delivery for a major open-pit nickel development in Quebec. With 31 years of experience, he has directed complex industrial programs across mining and advanced materials.
Prior to his current position, Marc worked at AtkinsRéalis (Abitibi-Temiscamingue based office) where he led the mechanical, plant engineering, and process department for 15 years, delivering projects for major mining operators. A bilingual leader with deep northern operations know-how, he is recognized for integrating automation, reliability, and cost-efficient design to build safe, high performing plants.
Marc holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.


Amanda Zeidler is a qualified Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Professional with over 25 years experience in developing and overseeing environmental and safety regulatory compliance programs, risk management, permitting, and injury reduction efforts.
Prior to joining the White Pine team, Amanda was the Senior Director of Environment for Lundin Mining Corportation and HSE & Permitting Manager of the Eagle Mine in Michigan, where she was integral to the permitting efforts and developed detailed understanding of Michigan's regulatory environment.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science, Environmental Studies- Chemistry from Northland College.


Tracey Thom has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, with over 15 years in Nevada. She leads the corporate affairs and environmental functions at Pumpkin Hollow, ensuring permit and regulatory compliance, as well as stakeholder relations, and communications.
Prior to joining Pumpkin Hollow, she has held senior roles in investor relations and corporate communications at companies such as Kinross Gold and Hycroft Mining. Tracey brings a track record of managing community engagement and government affairs and deep institutional knowledge of the Southwest and Pumpkin Hollow projects.
Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University.


Cory Kosinski has over eighteen years of experience in the mining and metals industry. Cory has extensive experience in conceptual process development, engineering design (pre-feasibility and feasibility), construction, commissioning, operation, process optimization, and economic evaluation of metallurgical projects within Canada, as well as internationally.
Prior to joining NiVolt, Cory held progressively senior roles at Sherritt International, culminating in the role of Head, Project Evaluations - Technologies Division.
Cory holds an MBA as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta.


Dr. Abdul Halim has over 18 years of experience in developing hydrometallurgical technologies to recover strategic critical metals, including lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper, and rare earths from primary and secondary resources. His expertise spans all stages of development, from detailed bench-scale and pilot testing to demonstration and commercial plant operations.
Dr. Halim has held senior technical positions with Li-Cycle, FLSmidth, SGS Lakefield, and Process Research ORTECH. He has authored over 50 articles, 6 U.S. patents, and several book chapters in the field of extractive metallurgy.
Dr. Halim holds a Ph.D. in Environmental System Engineering from Kyushu University in Japan, he also received prestigious postdoctoral awards from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, the National University of Singapore, and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.


Warrick Hamilton is an experienced geologist with over 13 years of diverse experience in mineral exploration and mining, specialising in nickel, copper, and zinc systems.
Warrick's career spans both junior exploration companies and multinational mining operators, providing him with a broad and balanced perspective on project development from early stage exploration through to advanced resource definition. In addition to his work across Australia, Warrick has mining experience in Canada, further strengthening his understanding of different geological settings and operational environments.
Warrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Victoria University of Wellington.


AShlie is an experienced financial professional who has spent over 20 years leading and transforming accounting and finance functions primarily in the mining industry.
Most recently, Ashlie was a Senior Manager within the Finance and Accounting Advisory Services practice at Armanino where she advised and assisted clients on a variety of issues, including IPOs, technical accounting matters, and interim accounting assistance. Prior to Armanino, Ashlie held various senior leadership roles at publicly-held companies within the mining industry, including Hycroft Mining where she served as Vice President, Controller. While at Hycroft, Ashlie successfully led the finance function transformation from a privately-held PE-backed enterprise to a publicly-held company.
Ashlie holds a Bachelors in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and is a Certified Professional Accountant.


Majed Badiuzzaman is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and brings 10 years of progressive experience in project cost and budget management, developing AFEs and forecasts, managing external technical consultants, integrating cross-discipline engineering, and driving construction and commissioning within operating mine environments.
Prior to joining White Pine, Majed was a Senior Project Engineer at Compass Minerals, as well as an Engineering Project Manager for J.D. Irving.
Majed holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University as well as a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Dalhousie University.

Hayley Olver leads the People and Culture function. She brings over 14 years of experience in Human Resources (HR) and Organizational Strategy within the EPCM projects and mining industries, supporting regional and global teams primarily across North America and EMEA.
Before joining Kinterra, she held Senior HR leadership roles at DRA Global, where she built and scaled the People and Culture function, driving strategic workforce growth, employee engagement, and workplace culture. Her experience spans the full employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, total compensation, and culture transformation.
Hayley holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial Psychology and is driven to build high performance teams and cultures.


Rajat Mehta supports Kinterra as Corporate Controller, playing a pivotal role in leading financial reporting, fund accounting, and controllership across the firm’s corporate and investment entities.
Rajat brings over 15 years of experience to Kinterra through his time with OMERS, Home Trust Company, and PwC where he led major finance transformation and automation initiatives.
Rajat is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Chartered Accountant (CA) from India and holds a dual degree in Commerce and Law from the University of Pune, India.


Dr. Xuesong Zhang joined Kinterra Capital in 2024 and leads technology strategy and innovation across software, data, and digital infrastructure supporting the firm’s investment and technical functions.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Xuesong was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Sessional Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto, where his research focused on computational modeling and machine learning applications for resource systems in collaboration with the Vector Institute.
Xuesong holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Physics, where he completed data assimilation of remote-sensing earth compositions. Xuesong later served as Chief Technology Officer at Aethos Labs, developing platforms exploring technology insights for the battery and critical mineral supply chain.


Michael Dinger is an integral member of Kinterra’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting long-term forecasting and planning for the Fund and portfolio companies. He works closely with the capital call process to drive liquidity management and enhance overall performance.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Michael worked at KPMG as a Senior Consultant in the Deal Advisory – Valuations practice, where he led a team of consultants and valued an extensive range of assets across multiple industries, including renewable power and infrastructure.
Michael holds a Master’s degree in Management and Professional Accounting in addition to his certifications as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). Michael also brings prior experience from EY in audit and financial analysis, along with strong technical expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and data-driven process improvement.


Louis Wong is the Controller at Kinterra, responsible for overseeing all corporate and fund finance across the firm. He brings over a decade of experience in private equity fund finance and corporate controllership, with deep expertise in financial reporting, fund operations, treasury, investor reporting, and corporate budgeting and forecasting. Louis also leads the development of financial systems and data workflows that enable scalable growth across the organization.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Louis held progressive finance leadership roles in the mining and financial services sectors, where he supported acquisitions, integrations, and multi-entity global financial reporting.
Louis is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo.


Stephen Uthayakumaran joined Kinterra Capital in early 2023 and supports the firm’s Information Technology (IT) function, providing strategic technology solutions, infrastructure management, and user support across the organization. He plays a key role in ensuring that Kinterra’s technology systems operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with the firm’s business objectives.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Stephen worked at Galderma Canada Inc. as a Senior IT Analyst, where he spent six years supporting enterprise systems, implementing IT solutions, and leading initiatives to enhance operational performance and end-user experience.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology Management, with a focus on enterprise systems, IT governance, and digital transformation.


Denisa Muco supports Kinterra as a Senior Accountant, playing a pivotal role in supporting executive leadership and enabling efficient financial operations across the organization and its portfolio entities.
Denisa brings over 14 years of international experience in accounting and finance across Europe and Canada, with strong expertise in financial reporting, intercompany management, and system implementation. Prior to joining Kinterra, she held progressive accounting roles in both corporate and energy sectors.
Denisa holds a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Albania, as well as an Honours Diploma in Business from Seneca College and she is currently pursuing her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in Ontario.


Aaryan Patel is a Staff Accountant at Kinterra, where he contributes to the firm’s financial operations through monthly reporting, treasury management, and oversight of portfolio company accounting. With 3 years of professional experience, Aaryan brings a strong background in audit, assurance, and corporate accounting to his role.
Before joining Kinterra, Aaryan worked at Deloitte, where he specialized in audit and assurance for a diverse range of clients, strengthening his expertise in financial analysis, compliance, and reporting accuracy.
Aaryan has an Honours Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Western Ontario and holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting. His analytical approach and attention to detail support Kinterra’s commitment to operational excellence and financial integrity.


Raphaela Ronchi supports Kinterra’s senior leadership team as an Executive Assistant. In this role, she provides comprehensive administrative and organizational support to Kinterra’s executives, facilitating effective coordination and execution across business operations.
Prior to joining Kinterra, Raphaela worked at Woodbourne Canada Management Inc. as Executive and Legal Assistant, where she supported the firm’s legal and executive teams for 4 years. Earlier in her career, she held administrative roles within the private equity and asset management sectors.
Raphaela holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy, and is a licensed Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario.


Alison McWhirter supports Kinterra as its Administrative Assistant, playing a pivotal role in supporting the executive leadership and enabling efficient operations and office management.
Alison brings over 5 years of experience to Kinterra through her time working at the Assessment Center at George Brown College.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts, English from the University of Guelph.
